2022 Was A Fantastic Year For Music.
The musical tastes of the owners of MIRP are all over the place…as usual. Our individual Number One picks include Bloodywood “Rakshak,” The Halo Effect “Days of the Lost,” and Electric Callboy “Tekkno.”
There was ONE album that made it on all three of our lists – Texas’ grove-driven masters of metalcore/deathcore, Upon A Burning Body’s spring release of “Fury.”
From Dying Fetus to Lindsey Sterling. From Lizzo to Lorna Shore, the list runs the gamut. And, for the first time ever, two local Portland bands made the list! I’m fairly comfortable saying that had the list been best 11 songs of 2022, Slipknot’s “The End, So Far” would make the list.
Whose list did you most agree with? Did we miss anything? Let us know your favorites.
